Cookie Policy

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Regor ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar browser storage on regor.ai and within the Regor application. We use only what is needed to operate the product. We do not load third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.

2. What cookies and storage are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We also use related browser technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, which keep small amounts of data in your browser rather than sending it on every request. We refer to all of these together as "storage" below.

3. How we use storage

Strictly necessary

  • Authentication. A session token (for exampleregor_token) keeps you signed in. It is set as HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax so it is not readable by page scripts.
  • Admin authentication. A separate cookie (regor_admin_session) keeps Regor administrators signed in to the admin console. It is set as HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax and expires after 12 hours.
  • Session state. Your signed-in email (regor_email) is held in sessionStorage so the dashboard renders correctly. It is cleared when you sign out or close the tab.
  • Interface preference. The admin console stores whether the sidebar is collapsed (regor_admin_sidebar_collapsed) in localStorage.

Storefront measurement

  • Visitor identifier. On a pilot merchant storefront, the Regor snippet stores a pseudonymous regor_vid in localStorage so search and click events can be measured and attributed. It contains no name, email, or payment data, and IP addresses are hashed before storage.
  • Session identifier. The snippet also stores regor_sid and regor_sid_ts in sessionStorage to group events within a 30 minute session window. They are cleared when the tab is closed.

Product analytics

  • Vercel Analytics. The marketing site at regor.ai loads Vercel Analytics on every page to measure page views and site performance. It does not set cross-site cookies.
  • PostHog. When enabled, PostHog product analytics stores a first-party ph_* cookie and localStorage entry to recognize a returning visitor and record product usage events.
  • Demo booking. The booking form on our demo page is provided by Cal.com. Cal.com processes the name, email, and store URL you enter and may set its own cookies within the embedded form under its own privacy policy.

4. What we do not use

  • No third-party advertising or retargeting cookies
  • No cross-site tracking or data brokers
  • No sale of data collected through cookies or storage

5. Managing storage

You can clear or block cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Because authentication and session storage are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in and using the dashboard. Clearing the pseudonymous regor_vid, regor_sid, or regor_sid_ts keys on a storefront has no effect on the shopper experience. We do not display a consent banner; storage is controlled through your browser settings.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
